The Stack World

brief:

To interview Reome founder Joanna Ellner, in front of a live audience of professional women who want to know what it takes to build an inconic brand.

Exploring Joanna’s approach to learning about biotechnology, considering how it could build the foundation of an effective brand that works, and importantly, bridging the gap between educating the beauty community on what works without ostracising them, the conversation was lively, filled with gems and part of a larger trend, as beauty and science become one.

Year after year, the staff teams in GDC, Illustration and other visual disciplines find themselves balancing a curriculum that encourages critical investigation of personal and social issues, with students exploring highly personal, often traumatic topics that can lead to futher difficulties.

I was brought in to deliver a one-day workshop for senior staff in the department, to explore how personal narratives are used in creative practice, and how best to scaffold this for safer, improved outcomes for all.
